When To Go – Matusadona park is open all year round.
Road access to Matusadona is via the gravel road that runs from Kamativi near Binga to Karoi. Approx. 150 km west of Karoi, a signposted turnoff leads into the park through the Chifudze gate. Suitable only for 4×4 enthusiasts. Alternatively from Bulawayo or Harare travel to Kwe Kwe and turn towards Gokwe. The road is tar all the way to where it meets the Binga – Karoi road
By Boat from Kariba – 45 minutes, sheltered mooring at the lodges if you bring your own boat

Access by

Road & Water: Self-drivers can access Kariba by tarred road from Lusaka or Harare. Met by a representative at a specified harbour where cars can be left in secure parking. From here, embark on a 45-minute boat transfer into camps. Guests may also use their own boats to access safari lodges

Getting There

By Air ………….Air Zimbabwe has re-introduced the once-popular “Zambezi Triangle” flight route linking Kariba with Victoria Falls and Harare. The service is now running three days a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, using a 52-seater MA60 aircraft to the following schedule:-
UM226 Depart Harare at 0930 arrive Kariba at 1020
Depart Kariba at 1050 arrive Victoria Falls at 1210
UM227 : Depart Victora Falls at 1400 arrive Kariba at 1520
Fly into Victoria Falls or Harare International Airports. From there, daily, on-demand, pay-per-seat charter flights are available into Fothergill Island airfield (minimum 2 persons), Tashinga or Bumi Hills airfield. The duration of the flights is approximately an hour and a half. Guests are met by a representative, who will then transfer you into camp on a short 20-minute boat transfer. The flight from Victoria Falls is a scenic memorable experience in itself. There are airstrips at Fothergill Island, Tashinga and Bumi Hills
