Mana Pools Accommodation
Luxury Tented Safari Camps, Lodges and Self Catering Accommodation at Mana pools national park
Lying in the Zambezi valley, Mana Pools National Park is a remote destination. Surrounded by the Rift Valley escarpment, the Zambezi river. floodplains and tree canopies, no wonder Mana is famous for its wildlife.
The best time of the year to visit is May to early October during the dry season.
It is an area of beautiful forests, open grasslands and a staggering profusion of game including elephant buffalo, kudu, eland, zebra, lion, leopard and wild dog, which are attracted to the water during the dry months of the year.
The hills of the Zambian escarpment form a scenic backdrop to the river. It is mainly a seasonal park due to the clay soils, but birding is excellent during the rainy season, with some special migrants such as the narina trogan and angola pitta arriving.
