Animals in the Lower Zambezi National Park concentrate along the valley floor where huge herds of elephant are often seen.
The park is also home to lion, leopard, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck, zebra, crocodiles and more.
The birdlife is exceptional with unusual species such as the red winged pratincole, the black eagle and quelea.
From June to September is regarded as the best time to visit, with fishing best in September/October.
