Zambezi Fishing

Zambezi fishing on the upper Zambezi river near the Kazungula floodplains.  Located in what is known as “Tiger Country”, the area is a premier venue for tiger, bream and catfish. 

For tigerfish you can flyfish, spin, trol or drift bait.  Fly fishing, worm fishing and spinning is offered for bream.

You can look forward to prime fishing at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambezi rivers.

The area is a 14 km stretch between the Matombora rapids and the Botswana/Namibian border.

Although game fishing is the main, guests can also enjoy exceptiona wildlife sightings and birding.

For those not fishing, relax on game drives and boat cruises.

To give you an idea of the weight , the majority of Tigers caught range between 2 – 6 lbs, but specimens of 10 – 18 lbs have also been landed.

Tigerfish is the No 1 prize but other species to fish include Nembwe, Bream (Thinface, Humpback and Pink), Three spot Tilapia and catfish

Prime “tiger” season is normally June to October but tigers can be caught all year round and tigers can be landed on fly in November.

Accommodation is in twin chalets and facilities include pool, bar, lounge, open dining area and fire pit.
