It’s called Tiger Country – located in the floodplains of the upper Zambezi river and a prime destination for tiger fishing.

The waters are pristine and home to record trophy tigerfsih, bream and catfish.

Racing at speeds of 50 kph, the reputation of the “striped water dog” is infamous. Weight for weight, the tiger’s razor-sharp teeth making them one of the most exciting game fish to catch.

You can catch tiger all year round changing to different fishing methods (trolling, spin, fly, drift baiting) on the time of year.

Accommodation in en suite chalets overlooking the Zambezi river.

Enjoy home cooked meals and swap legendary fish tales in the bar.
Relax round the pool or catch up on some reading in the library.

Shackletons is easily accessed from Livingstone or Katima Mulilo (Namibia).

As well as exceptional fishing, there are over 300 bird species to be found.
