From October to end March is the rainy season.
April to September is regarded as the dry season.
Traditionally the dry season is the best time for game viewing.
Kruger was originally known as the Sabie Game Reserve. The President at the time was Paul Kruger and he was something of a visionary.
Realising that a place was needed in order to protect the wildlifw of the Lowveld, an area between the Sabie and Crocodile rivers was set aside.
By May 1926 the National Parks Act was proclaimed incorporating the Sabie and Shingwedzi Game Reserves into what is today the Kruger National Park.
