These regions are all sparsely populated, highland country with a cooler and wetter climate than other parts of Africa.
The eastern highlands boasts three mountain ranges ( the Chinamanimani in the south, Nyanga in the north and the Bvumba mountains in the central highlands.

The national parks and private dams provide good fishing for brown and rainbow trout, making the Nyanga area one of the best districts for trout fishing in Africa
Gonarezhou - Eastern Lowlands
Three major rivers – The Save, Runde and Mwenezi – cut their courses through Gona-rez-hou national park, forming pools and natural oases from which hundreds of species of birds, wildlife and fish gather to feed and drink

famed Kruger National Park and Mozambique’s Gaza.
