3 day camping tour to Sossusvlei is an inexpensive way of experiencing the magnificent dunes at Sossusvlei. Surrounded by red dunes, Sossusvlei is a year round destination. Reputed to be some of the highest in the world, some as high as 400 metres, best time for photographs in morning and evening.

Sossusvlei
where huge mountains of sand beckon you to climb them. Dune 45 is a popular climb but Big Daddy and Big Mammy will challenge your fitness. View the dunes near sunrise and sunset when the colours are vivid and constantly changing. Sossusvlei is located in the Namib Naukluft Park, the largest conservation area in Africa and fourth in the world.
Sesriem Canyon
this natural feature of the area is a deep chasm and a much needed water source for humans and animals alike. Early settlers in search of water had to use six buckets (ses) and leather thongs (riem), in order to reach the bottom of the deep cleft.
Namib Naukluft Park
framed by rugged rocky mountains and wide sparsely covered plains, the park is an ecological protected area. To the west of the park lies the Namib. The Kalahari lies to the east. As well as Hartmann’s mountain zebra, duiker, steenbok, bat-eared foxes and kudu can be found.
