Day 1 | Sunday | Victoria Falls airport to Victoria Falls town

On arrival at the airport, you will be collected for your transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before the sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River.

Days 2 – 4 Hwange National Park

After breakfast, your guide will collect you for a guided tour of the world famous Victoria Falls.
Depart on a 3 hour journey by road through rural Zimbabwe passing Ndebele villages to your luxury mobile tented camp in Hwange National Park.

Accommodation is in fully furnished East African safari tents with en suite bathrooms (flush toilets and hot water bucket showers).
Hwange is a Big 5 wildlife sanctuary and famous for large concentrations of elephants and diverse wildlife and bird species.

Mobile tented safaris will definitely get you up close and personal with the wildlife of Africa without compromise to you comfort and safety.
Guests have full flexibility to do as much or as little game driving, walking and relaxing in camp as they wish.
The camp facilities are exclusive to the guests and along with a private game drive vehicle, guests can benefit from the focused attention of a private guide and dedicated camp staff that will be hosting you on your safari.

On safari you can look forward to bush walks and animal tracking, game drives, sundowners at waterholes, traditional dancing, visiting the Wild Dog centre or Mtoa Ruins as well as special activities to teach you about Zimbabwe and African culture.

Days 5 & 6 Matobo National Park

Enjoy your last morning in the wild of Hwange.  After a hearty breakfast you will drive through Hwange to Matobo National Park (approx. 3.5 hours)
A scenic paradise, Matopos is famous for its dramatic rock formations and granite whalebacks.  On arrival your guide will escort you to the camp situated close to the Maleme Dam inside the National Park.

You will enjoy your time exploring on foot on on a game drive, visiting the famous rock formations of Matobo Hills – a UNESCO World Heritage Site climbing to World’s View to the gravesite of Cecil John Rhodes and learning about Khoisan rock art and the history of Zimbabwe.  Time permitting, you can also choose to see a local cultural village and participate in White rhino tracking.

Day 7 Masvingo

After an early morning activity and breakfast at your Matopos camp we drive through Bulawayo town en route to Masvingo to see the Ancient City – Great Zimbabwe.

On arrival at the hotel, check in and freshen up. Your hotel is a picturesque property in the foothills of Great Zimbabwe with magnificent views of Lake Muturikwi.

After lunch (own account) you visit the Great Zimbabwe Monument to explore the secrets of the ancient ruins.
The Great Zimbabwe Ruins is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the most important archaeological sites in Africa, giving testimony to the lost civilisation of the Shona tribe.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy dinner (own account)

Day 8 Harare

After breakfast depart for Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe.  Time permitting we will tour the art gallery or national archives on the day of arrival.
Meals for your own account will be lunch and dinner which is served at the lodge.

Days 9 – 11 Mana Pools National Park

After an early breakfast you will depart for your scheduled transfer by light aircraft to your luxury mobile camp in Mana Pools National Park.
Enjoy two and half days exploring this pristine wilderness on foot and in the specially adapted game drive vehicles
Mana Pools National Park is synonymous with the Zambezi river, the elephant, lions and unspoiled wilderness.  This unique park is a world heritage site, renowned for its wide range of wildlife which includes over 350 bird species and aquatic wildlife.

The name “Mana” means four in the local Shona language – referring to the 4 large pools inland from the Zambezi river.  These pools are the remnant ox bow lakes that the Zambezi river carved out thousands of years ago as it changed its course northwards.

Hippopotamus, crocodiles and a wide variety of aquatic birds are associated with the pools along with large herds of elephant.

Days 12 & 13 Matusadona National Park

After breakfast your guide will take you on your final game drive as you head out of Mana Pools National Park to the airstrip.  You will be transferred by light aircraft to the Rokari airstrip in Matusadona National Park.

Here you will be met by your guide from Rhino Island safari camp.
Proceed by boat across the estuary to Rhino Island Safari Camp where you will spend the last 2 nights of your safari.
Rhino Island, a rustic but comfortable safari camp with thatched chalets built on stilts is situated on the shoreline of lake Kariba and on the edge of Matusadona National Park.  Guests can look forward to rhino tracking, game drives and bush walks.  Boating and fishing can be arranged on request.

Accommodation : Rhino Island Safari Camp or similar – lunch, dinner and breakfast

Day 14

After breakfast your guide will escort you across the estuary to Rokari airstrip.

You will be transferred by light aircraft to Harare International airport in time to check in for your onward arrangements.
