The Zambezi Classic Short Canoe Safari is an experience of the great outdoors. Get to relive the days of the early pioneers and adventures. Zambezi classic short trail takes you from Chirundu to Kanyemba. a distance of some 182 kms.
This natural wilderness offers breath taking scenery. As well as the spectacular red cliffs in the Mupata Gorge, take time to appreciate the different flora and fauna species of the Lower Zambezi river.

Classic Canoe Short Zimbabwe : Overview
The Zambezi Classic Short will definitely get you into the spirit of an exploring pioneer. This 8 day, 7 night canoe safari covers 182 km of the mighty Zambezi River.
Starting from the border town of Chirundu you will journey through the floodplains of the Zambezi along the shoreline of Mana Pools National Park.
Next comes a 20 km stretch of amazing red cliffs called the Mupata Gorge. This canoe trail ends a few kilometres on the other side of the Gorge at Kanyemba.
On this safari you will get the opportunity to discover many different ecosystems
showcasing the different species of flora and fauna.
Health Issues
The Zambezi Valley is a Malaria area however steps can be taken to protect yourself. We advise all our guests to consult their doctor before coming on Safari to get the appropriate prophylaxis. We recommend the use of insect repellents, especially from dusk onwards. Guests can also wear long sleeved shirts and trousers in the evenings.
