Walk with Lions & Cheetahs - Livingstone

Cheeetah and Lion Cub encounters on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls.

Unique opportunities to interact with the big cats and see for yourself their behaviour in the bush.
Watch the speed, grace and elegance of the cheetah on a lure chase. Its an awesome sight. Don’t blink as you might miss it.

Part of the conservation programme is to breed the cheetahs and lions for release into nature reserves in Zambia.

Morning safaris between 06h15 – 06h30
Mid morning safaris between 08h45 – 09h00d walking side by side with the lions through Victoria Falls.

The Mukuni Research Centre has an ongoing program for conserving and breeding the threatened Cheetah. 

Part of the program is aimed at education, visiting local schools and communities.

As one guest told us: “It was an immense pleasure meeting everybody though and making new friends like Renée (originally from Australia, but now living in Abu Dhabi). We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know two of our resident lions (in particular ‘Ada’ here).”

This activity includes interacting and learn about their habitat and behaviour

Lions:
minimum age 15 years and/or 1.5 metre height and must be accompanied by adult
Cheetah:
minimum age 8 years and must be accompanied by parent
