Victoria Falls Canoe Trail Zambezi River

Canoe safaris are an exciting of exploring the Zambezi river with its many islands and channels.
Take to the water for either a half or full day canoeing, and for the enthusiast overnight safaris are available.

Drift through the long stretches of the river and discover amazing birdlife and game on the islands.

Upper Zambezi River Canoeing

Here’s what you will experience, canoeing on the legendary Zambezi river taking you through narrow channels and drifts. 

Get a different perspective on game viewing, watching hippos or elephants moving from island to island. 

Watch the Pied Kingfisher hover and dive, listen to the haunting call of the fish eagle and the grunts of the hippo.
See elephant, buffalo, and other animals come down to drink and explore the islands and waterways along the route.

For the half day safari, children must be 10 years or older.
On the full day safari, the age restriction is 12 years
A minimum of 2 participants is required to run the trail. 
Note that minors must be accompanies by a parent or guardian

 

Canoe – Camping trips include meals, soft drinks, water, tea, coffee and some alcoholic beverages. The alcoholic beverages are rationed as the Canoe Trails are in a National Park which is a wildlife area and as such we do not recommend high consumption of alcohol. Drinks included are beers, gin & tonics and wine with dinner.

We will only supply a reasonable portion of these drinks to clients, should clients have any preferred drinks they are welcome to bring their own.

Zambezi river canoeing is available 365 days a year, although trips may start and finish at different points due to water levels
