Each cottage is fully equipped for self catering. The kitchen has both gas and electirc cookers and an outside stone braai in the garden. Wattle firewood is supplied for the braai and for the fireplace inside the cottage.
Fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave are standard
General Notes
■ Power Supply - 220v square pin - adaptors available on request.
We recommend that you bring a camping light or head torch and spare batteries.
■ Stock up on ice and cool drinks wherever you can.
■ Sheets and towels are provided and cottages are serviced daily. Bring your own soaps and shampoos. Each cottage has a wood boiler (burning alien species) as well as an electric geyser.
■ Water is drinkable but we recommend you carry a 5 liter container for your vehicle and/or walks.
■ Roads - good tarred road leads to Chimanimani from Masvingo, Chipinge and Mutare. Frog & Fern is 1.5 km from the tar road. In the village roads deteriorate to poor and very poor dirt roads.
■ Food - the village stocks basic foodstuffs only. Recommneded that you bring your own braai meat, wine and spirits. There is a cafe in the village which makes an excellent lasagne
