Victoria Falls marathon

The race will start between the KINGDOM & VICTORIA FALLS HOTELS, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

The finish of the marathon will be at The Victoria Falls Primary Schools field

Cut off time for the race will be 12h00 noon. All finishers will receive a medal and t-shirt.

The competition is open to persons 21 years and over.

Medals will be awarded to all finishers under five and half hours.

Fun Run

* 5km Fun Run - starts 07h15

The race will start at the KINGDOM & VICTORIA FALLS HOTEL, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and finish at the school, running through Chinotimba.

The competition is open to persons of 10 years and over. No prizes or medals available.

Finish Line

* Tog Bag Area
Tog bag area will be provided, if you plan to use this facility allow ample time - note that the tog bags will be transported to the stadium by 09h00.

Participant Categories
Male and Female only
No specific age categories or walkers / disabled for 2007.
Final cut-off after 5hrs.

Baobab run

* Registration
Registration will either take place through a package, or local entries.

Registration will take place at the KINGDOM HOTEL, Victoria Falls
-Friday, 24 August 2007 (10h00 - 18h00)
-Saturday, 25 August 2007 (09h00 - 16h00)

All pre-registered entrants MUST STILL COME TO THE KINGDOM HOTEL, to collect race numbers, sign official entrance form

* NO ENTRIES ALLOWED ON RACE DAY, SUNDAY, 26 AUGUST 2007.

IMPORTANT: you MUST BRING your PASSPORT, or ID Document to registration.

After Party where the fun starts

* Marathon after party

For those wishing to join in on the fun at the marathon after party, can do so at the Boat Club in Victoria Falls. Entry fee to be paid at the gate of USD10 per person, payable by locals at Z$1 000pp, subject to submission of proof of residence & citizenship.

There is a good chance of seeing some game along the route, which will be monitored by National Parks staff member

11. Marathon route drive on Saturday, 25 August 2007

Runners that want to view the route can do so on Saturday, 25 August 2007. The shuttle service will be operating from the Kingdom Hotel at the cost of USD5 pp. See departure times at the Kingdom Hotel notice board.

12. Sunset cruise & marathon after party
Only for class A entries: For those who have entered on Class A, a sunset cruise is included followed by the Marathon after party. You will be collected from your hotel
