The elephants are all orphans. Miss Ellie and Jumbo come from the Zambezi Valley, while Jock and Jack come from Hwange National Park. They have grown up with humans, are well-accustomed to visitors and have multiplied. All are free to return to the wild should they wish and some do, but then return later Guests are encouraged to spend as much time as possible during their stay in getting to know these wonderful animals. This could include picnics with the elephants, training sessions, washing/grooming routines or just the enjoyment of observing them, whether feeding naturally in the bush or swimming at one of the waterhole's This camp is closed till further notice for refurbishment
