There are national parks on both sides of the river – Mana Pools National Park on the Zimbabwean bank, and the Lower Zambezi National Park on the Zambian side.

The whole area on both sides of the river is a massive wildlife sanctuary.

The Lower Zambezi National Park was for many years a forgotten wilderness, lying along the northern banks of the Zambezi River

It is an extraordinarily beautiful reserve, in a absolutely pure wilderness state.

It has become one of southern Africa`s premier destinations for peaceful game viewing and the River’s beauty has attracted tourists from all over the world.

Chongwe River Safari Lodge
