    The Kalahari is one of Africa's last wildlife paradises. Animals include brown hyenas, lions, meerkats, Gemsbok, Springbok, and many raptors, birds and reptiles. Vegetation in the Kalahari consists of dry grassland and scrubby acacias. Grasses thrive in the Kalahari during the summer rainy season. The San people (or Bushmen) were the first known human inhabitants of the Kalahari

    The Moremi National Park is situated in the Okavango Delta and forms an intricate part of the Delta

    The Makgadikgadi pans cover an area of 39 999km2 and incorporate a series of pans, the two main ones being the Sowa pan in the east and the larger Ntwetwe pan in the west

    The wild life in this park is very seasonal and at certain times of the year one can see zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, springbok, ostrich, brown hyena, lion, cheetah and giraffe

    The Sowa pan is the largest breeding colony of greater flamingoes in Africa and is a spectacular sight to see the beautiful birds out on the pan

    The Okavango Delta is a fragile eco-system that remains one of the World's least spoilt and most beautiful wildernesses
