South African passport holders do not require visas whereas other nationalities do require visas to enter Zambia. Some countries need prior approval and guests may be turned away at JNB International Airport if the guest is not in possession of a visa in their passport. Should you have any queries please contact immigration department at Zambiavisa@zamnet.zm or Diplomatic Missions abroad (see below) Travel Advisory for return day visitGuests who are planning to leave Zambia for a return day visit (e.g. to Chobe /Botswana or Victoria Falls/Zimbabwe) are advised to ensure that they have paid for, and been provided with, a double or multiple entry visa at the time of first entry.
