Cancellation policy- Houseboats

This is a general guide for conditions and cancellation policy as each houseboat has it's own terms and even varies between Binga or Kariba based boats

Binga based houseboats

The rate excludes National Park Fees of US$5.00 (SADC regions) & U$10.00 (international). These must be paid direct to National Parks before boarding. It is advisable to pay in US$ and not rand due to poor exchange rates. Boarding times are from 12 noon on arrival and disembarking by 09h00 on last day.

The above fuel rate is purely an estimation. Should clients use less than the above amount a refund will be issued. Should the clients use more than the above value an invoice for the balance will be sent to you.

The catering consists of an early morning breakfast, mid morning brunch, afternoon tea, sun- downer snacks and a 3course dinner, as well as all local minerals, malts and spirits. Imported wines and spirits can be supplied but this will be an extra charge. Clients welcome to bring their own. The catering rate also includes all fishing bait (worms & kapenta), laundry & ice. Should clients wish to self cater they will be responsible for supplying their own ice, fishing bait and toiletries (bath soap, toilet paper, dish washing liquid).

Fishing rods, reels and tackle are excluded. Clients responsible for their own fishing equipment.

The above quote is valid for 7 days. No booking is confirmed until a 30% deposit has been lodged.

While every effort will be made to honor amounts quoted, should circumstances dictate, we reserve the right to alter tariffs at any time

Cancellations guide for Kariba Boats

If a booking is cancelled the cancellation policies vary from owner to owner but the general rule is to retain:

    15% of total fare up to 6 weeks before Departure
   25% of total fare when the notice period is less than 6weeks
   50% of total fare when the notice period is less than 3 weeks
   75% of total fare when the notice period is less than 2 weeks.
100% of total fare when the period is less than 1 week.

* For last minute bookings where no deposit has been paid 100% cancellation fees will apply should these bookings cancel.
* If for any reason whatsoever, guests fail to appear at the destination, arrive late or leave early, no reimbursement will be considered.
* The above cancellation fees will only be reconsidered in the event of a political crisis which prevents anyone from entering the destination area.
* Prices are subject to change without notice

Payment

· A deposit of between 35 to 50% is required before bookings are confirmed within 14 days of the provisional booking.
· Full payment is required 45 days before departure.

This price does not include the following, which must be paid for separately:

Ø Petrol for the tender boats
Ø National Parks Lake Fees U$ 10.00 per passenger. US$5 for South Africans
(This will cover a period from 2 - 7 nights) Pay in US$ to avoid exchange rate hassles
Ø National Parks Fishing Permits cost a further Z$ 500 per person per day
Ø Harbour Parking Fee (of ZW$1,000 per night per vehicle)
Ø Catering
Ø Drinks, Ice, bait etc
Ø Fishing Gear

BOARDING TIME : 12:00
DISEMBARK : 10:00 - or by special arrangement

We recommend that keen fishermen request a hired speed-boat to complement the trip. (The cost of this boat and it's fuel would be payable by the Clients)

A provisional booking will be made and will not be confirmed until a deposit on charter rate is paid. Should a deposit not be paid the booking will automatically be released 14 days from date of provisional booking
