Whether you are a beginner or experienced photographer - the workshops are designed to show you the how, when and where to get that perfect wildlife shot.
Learn about composition and how to prepare images for printing.
Early mornings, late afternoons and early evenings will be spent in the field capturing images. Back at base time will be spent on evaluating the field sessions.

But its not all work and no play. There will be time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Chobe national park, or Mala Mala close to south Africa's kruger Park.
Workshop Locations: these have been carefully chosen to provide the best in terms of the opportunities offered to capture Africa's wildlife as well as scenic photography.
Destinations:
Lower zambezi national park - Zambia
Chobe National Park - Botswana
Group Sizes: catering for small groups or individual photographers
Roger & Pat de la Harpe: are household names when it comes to wildlife and travel photography. Tap into and get real benefits from their more than 25 years of professional experience.
Roger and Pat's work can be found in 18 coffee table books. They have written and photographed hundreds of photo features for top South African travel and wildlife magazines as well as contributing images to magazines and books around the world.
Equipment required is as follows:
A SLR Digital Camera preferably with removable lenses (a fixed lens camera will work but will limit what we can do to a certain degree). An advanced point and shoot camera will be fine for beginners, but it should have a fairly long lens, as we will be doing wildlife photography (e.g. Canon G6, G7 or S3, Nikon P3, P4 or something similar)
- Zoom lenses – the selection is broad but at least 2 zoom lenses are recommended, one wide angle and one medium to long telephoto, which should preferably have some form of image stabilization.
- A flashgun.
- A sturdy tripod.
- A laptop computer with either Photoshop or Photoshop Elements loaded on to it. This is essential. Instruction will be in Photoshop Elements 5. It is recommended that you have some form of backup medium - DVD's or a portable hard drive.
- A memory card reader or computer cables to connect your camera to your laptop.
- The charger for your camera/s.
- Memory Card/s.
- The manual(s) for your camera(s).
