DAY 1

• After a late morning departure from Upington, visit a local wine cellar for a short tour and wine tasting.

• Arrive at the Augrabies Falls National Park in time for a light lunch (not included). Few sights are as
awesome or a sound as deafening as water thundering down the 56 metre Augrabies Waterfall when the
Orange River is in full flood.

• The Khoi (Bushman) people called it ‘Aukoerebis’, or place of Great Noise, as this powerful flow of water is unleashed from rocky surroundings characterised by the 18 kilometre abyss of the Orange River Gorge.

• Enjoy a fascinating game drive in the national park, which provides sanctuary to a diversity of species, from the very smallest succulents, birds and reptiles to springbok, gemsbok and the endangered Black rhino

DAY 2

• The day's adventure begins after an early breakfast with a scenic drive north into the Kalahari.

• Enjoy a late afternoon lunch (not included) at the oasis of the Molopo Kalahari Lodge.

• Continue north into the vast Kalahari to the renowned Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, one of Africa's largest and virtually untouched conservation areas, with no fences between South Africa and Botswana within the park to facilitate natural migration of animals.

• Kgalagadi is a Setswana word meaning 'thirsty land'. Continue on a journey of discovery to western Kalahari Tented camp, travelling along the dry and ancient Auob River watercourse.

• Marvel at the sunset on arrival at the camp, which is an open perimeter camp as close to nature as possible.
The camp showcases unforgettable scenery in a prime predator habitat.

• Settle in and enjoy sundowners overlooking the resident waterhole. As night falls, nowhere in Africa do the stars in the Milky Way and Southern Cross appear brighter and more beautiful than in the Kalahari, hence a traditional African 'braai' dinner complements the day

DAY 3

• Early morning sunrise game drive to follow the nocturnal animals spoor. Return to the camp for a hearty
breakfast.

• Depart along the pristine dune savanna and along the ancient Nossob River. Due to the sparse vegetation and concentration of animals in the dry riverbeds of the Auob and Nossob Rivers, Kgalagadi offers premium mammal viewing.

• It is especially renowned for the seasonal movement of large herbivores such as Blue wildebeest, springbok, Eland and Red hartebeest. Suricate, Honey Badger, Pangolin and Bat-Eared Fox are some of the park specials to search for.

• In the heat of the day, stop for a picnic lunch (included) at Dikbaardskolk on the banks of the Nossob River.

• This site on the dry riverbed supports a wide spectrum of bird species and is one of the focus points of bird activity.

• The remainder of the day is spent searching for the various predators that are the park's biggest attraction

• Excellent chances exist of seeing cheetah, leopard, Brown and Spotted hyena and the definitive Black Maned lion.

• On arrival at camp, an à la carte dinner is served at the restaurant
