1
• From Johannesburg your adventure starts heading east via Nelspruit, White River and Hazyview to
spectacular Mpumalanga
• At Protea Hotel Kruger Gate you
board your open safari vehicle and start your adventure into Kruger National Park where your day will end at Satara
set in a real African Ambiance.

DAY
2
• Depart Satara Camp in Kruger National Park and commence your adventurous journey north-east to ‘Parque Nacional do
Limpopo’ crossing both the Olifants and Letaba rivers.
• Game viewing en-route, with the possibility of seeing the “Big 5”, is a
highlight as you travel to the international border post at Giriyondo.
• Here you enter the 1,1 million hectare Moçambiquan
sector of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Peace Park and follow the gravel road to Machampane Wilderness Camp, passing
the elephant release boma and crossing the rocky bed of the Machampane river. This luxurious en-suite tented camp, nestled
in the trees on the banks of the Machampane River will be your home for the next three nights in this unspoilt wilderness
area.
• Arrival is timed to allow you to settle in, and then for those wishing to immediately experience their bush surroundings,
a short afternoon game-walk returning to camp as the sun sets. Enjoy dinner on the dining deck.

DAY
3
• Awake to the early morning call of the abundant birdlife and begin the day with coffee and rusks on the viewing deck.
• Then
set off on a leisurely walk in the company of an experienced field guide and an armed game ranger
• They assist you in
interpreting the signs of the bushveld and in identifying the many species of fauna, flora, birds and reptiles to whom this
National Park is home. You are very likely to come across the spoor (tracks) of one of the Big 5 species that live in this area
and perhaps even encounter them whilst on your walk.
• Return to camp for “brunch” under the trees and then an afternoon
siesta or just relax on the deck of your tent watching the variety of birds that inhabit the trees and river banks.
• After dinner
you will fall asleep in the comfort of your tent.

DAY
4
• Depart after breakfast on an open safari vehicle en-route to the small town of Massingir, travelling through remote rural
villages where we pass the people of these communities, young and old, at work and at play.
• You will observe first hand the
culture and farming methodologies of the Shangaan people who have subsisted in this area for generations.
• We cross the
spectacular Massingir Dam over its six kilometer long wall and enter the town of Massingir where we visit the informal
traders of fish and fresh produce.
• Back to ‘Parque Nacional do Limpopo’ and the shores of Massingir Dam for a late picnic
lunch and then a boat trip exploring the shoreline and looking out for the bird life and various animals that come down to the
dam’s edge to drink

Day 5
• Wake to the bird calls and absorb the peaceful setting as the sun rises.
• Then its time to enjoy your last breakfast in this
amazing wilderness area before setting off in your open safari vehicle on your journey back to Kruger National Park and the
spectacular views from Olifants Camp overlooking the Olifants river.
• Enjoy dinner real African Style before you go to your
rooms for a well earned rest.

Day 6
• Leave the camp after breakfast and enjoy the scenes on the way down to the southern park.
• Exit the park at the Kruger gate
and arrive at your hotel for dinner under the stars in a traditional African Boma (Weather Permitting)

Day 7
• After an early morning breakfast you have time at leisure until mid-morning when start your journey back to civilisation with
fond memories and a true understanding of why you had a desire to heed the call of the wild!
• Travel via Sabie and over the
scenic Long Tom Pass to Lydenburg.
• Continue via Dullstroom to Johannesburg arriving in the early evening (approx, 18h30)
for drop off at O.R Tambo Airport or your hotel |
