Day 1 - Sunday
(07H30) Depart Cape Town driving over Du Toit’s Kloof Pass to the town of Robertson. We pass Montagu, a quaint
country village and enjoy a wine tasting en-route. This is followed by a traditional South African lunch (included)
in a typical country restaurant in Barrydale.
After lunch, we continue through the little Karoo, traversing the
Tradouw Pass. Our journey to the beautiful Wilderness continues, visiting the Diaz Museum in Mossel Bay.
Arriving at the village of Wilderness we check-in and enjoy a superb dinner (not included) at the hotel or one of
the nearby restaurants, located within walking distance

2 - Monday
TIGK TOUR - Nature’s Beauty and Nostalgia
From our hotel in Wilderness, we travel to Knysna to embark on the Featherbed Nature Reserve ferry from the
Knysna Waterfront.
On arrival we take a ‘Unimog’ (tractor driven wagon) ride to the top of the Western Head.
An optional hike can be taken through the indigenous Knysna forest to the restaurant area where lunch
(included) is served.
On our return to Knysna we depart for an elephant experience, where we are able to enjoy
a very close encounter with these gigantic mammals. Finally we take the scenic drive back to Wilderness for
drop off at your hotel

3 - Tuesday
TIGO TOUR - Klein Karoo Kaleidoscope
Experience the stunning views of the Outeniqua Pass as we travel towards the Klein Karoo’s capital -
Oudtshoorn.
Here we visit the Safari Ostrich Ranch where we are given fun and detailed information about these
strange flightless birds and their magnificent plumage.
After enjoying a traditional ostrich lunch (included), we
proceed on to the world famous Cango Caves, where a guided tour allows us to explore the ancient stalagmites
and stalactites.
We are then introduced to some rare and endangered animals on a fully guided tour at the
Cango Wildlife Ranch. The day concludes with a scenic drive back to Wilderness where you will be dropped off
at your hotel

4 - Wednesday
Leaving the quaint seaside village of Wilderness we continue
via Sedgefield
to South Africa’s 'oyster capital',
Knysna.
After a short refreshment stop at Knysna’s East Head,
continue via the “millionaires' playground” of
Plettenberg
Bay to the Tsitsikamma Forest area.
Attractions here include the Big Tree and the Garden of
Eden. After lunch (not
included)at the scenic Storms River mouth, gaze in awe at the scenery whilst crossing
the
bridge over the Storms River where photographic opportunities
abound.
Leaving the Garden Route via the high forests of the Tsitsikamma
Mountains and the Groot River Passes and Bloukrans,
we arrive in Port Elizabeth.
The day ends at your beachfront hotel. Freshen up for a
delectable dinner featuring Cape Country cuisine at a local restaurant
or the hotel’s elegant dining room.

5 - Thursday
After breakfast, depart Port
Elizabeth and spend the morning visiting Addo Elephant National
Park.
Arrive at
your lodge in time for an afternoon nature walk or drive through the forest, passing through a scenic natural
valley where indigenous antelope and zebra roam and continuing up onto a grassy ridge that overlooks an
uninterrupted vista of beach and sky. Enjoy a fine dining dinner at the lodge.

6- Friday
After breakfast depart from your lodge and visit a pineapple plantation and Grahamstown. This cultural centre boasts a wide variety
of interesting sites including schools, Rhodes University, historical
early settler architecture and monuments.
You will also visit the fascinating Camera
Obscura, giving you a bird’s eye-view of the city.
Drive towards the coast and arrive at your overnight stop in East London.

7 - Saturday
Depart East London and drive inland via lush valleys and forests for a stop at Mthatha. Experience a typical
African city with its street markets and traders.
Visit the Nelson Mandela Museum and Mr Mandela’s home village
of Qunu.
Going south we get to the historical town of Port St Johns, an area filled with a history of shipwrecks
from a 10 000 ton passenger liner to several sailing yachts.
Arrive at Pondoland’s best kept secret, situated at
the mouth of the Mbotyi River and tidal estuary. A tasty dinner is served at the lodge.

DAY 8 - Sunday
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before you visit the Magwa Tea Estate. This area is characterised by
rolling hills, deep gorges and spectacular waterfalls. Visit the plantation and see how tea is grown and
processed.
Take in the wonderful view of the Magwe falls. Return back to the lodge for lunch (not included).
Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure sitting next to the pool or for the more adventurous, take a coastal
walking trail down to Shark Point, a journey that could turn out to be a whale and dolphin watchers dream.

Ramsgate Beach |
DAY 9 - Monday
Leave Mboyti behind, travelling through the Mqaba forest where the landscape changes from deep gorges with
lush vegetation and waterfalls to the Magwa tea plantation situated just outside of Lusikisiki.
Leaving the
beautiful Eastern Cape region and home of the Xhosa people, with its endless hillsides of traditional huts and
villages, we travel across the Mtambuna river into the Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal.
Enjoy a refreshment stop in
Ramsgate, then continue along the spectacular coastal road to Durban for a drop off at the airport or your hotel. |
