The Victoria Falls Chapel

The Victoria Falls Chapel and hotel is a delightfully romantic setting for weddings and honeymoons.

From the charming little in-house chapel to the luxurious Honeymoon Suites, this hotel is a bride and groom's delight

For a wedding venue that offers nostalgia and a colonial-type atmosphere.

NB: The Chapel seats a maximum of 30 people. The Hotel requires that the Bride and Groom’s accommodation be booked and confirmed before organising the wedding

Wedding service venue

The Chapel - built in 1929 is available for private ceremonies and weddings - up to 30 people

Your Wedding Service can be arranged in the Hotel Chapel for up to 30 people followed by photos in the beautiful gardens overlooking the Victoria Falls Bridge and Gorge.

Alternate venues at the hotel can be arranged depending on the number of people in your party.

Your service can be arranged at any time of day or evening and will be conducted by a local Priest or Magistrate.

Reception Venues and Menus

Depending on the time of day and the number of people attending, a variety of different venues can be arranged for your Wedding Reception.

Some venue options are

Jungle Junction
the Pool Gardens.

Menus for a breakfast, lunch, high tea, cocktail or dinner reception can be tailor made to suit your exact requirements

Honeymoon

four beautifully appointed Honeymoon Suites in the hotel with four-poster beds.

Included in your package are the following added amenities:

chilled Sparkling Wine on the night of your wedding,
red roses,
Belgian chocolates,
fresh fruit platter on arrival
snack platter in the evening.
Champagne (Sparkling Wine)

breakfast can be arranged for you in the privacy of your room along with any other special requirements you might have.

Should you decide to hold your wedding at the Hotel you will be offered the Standard Room Low Season Rate with a complimentary upgrade to one of the Honeymoon Suites.

General

Pampering before the Wedding

The in house Hair Salon is open daily from 0830 to 1630 hours (will open outside these hours by special arrangement for fixed appointments) for any special hair requirements prior to your wedding. Please bring pictures of what you would like done and any special hairpins to match your dress.

Massage treatments, facials, manicures and pedicures can be arranged at our Beauty Salon to help you prepare and unwind before your big day.

Flowers and Cakes

The in-house Florists will arrange your Bridal Bouquet, Corsages, Buttonholes, and Flowers for the Chapel and your Wedding Reception Table. Please advise us of your colour scheme and preference of flowers and we will do our best to order these for you

The Bakery will make a Wedding Cake for you - please be advised that the cakes on offer are one tier sponge cakes decorated with flowers and the name of the Bride and Groom. Should you require a more elaborate cake, we would be happy to arrange this for you.

Documentation

The Guest Services Team at the hotel can arrange all prior documentation for your Wedding.
· If both parties are previously unmarried, the local Priest will marry you at the hotel even if you are of a different religious denomination. You will need to first obtain your Wedding License at the Magistrate's Court, which we will assist you with.
· Should one or both of the parties have been married previously, the Magistrate will marry you at the hotel. Our local Priest will happily conduct a religious service after these proceedings.
· Payment in the amount of USD50.00 will need to be made direct to the Priest or Magistrate as a Marriage Officer’s donation.
· If the Magistrate is coming from Hwange a mileage fee will be charged. Please note this rate is in accordance with AA rates and this will only apply when the Wedding is on a Saturday or Sunday.
· Should either one of you be Catholic, the Priest will require a Baptism Certificate and a letter from your Pastor stating that you are free to marry.
