Sakazima Island Lodge

Situated in Barotseland, West Zambia, in the upper Zambezi river, approximately 150 kms upstream from Victoria Falls and Livingstone.

Sakazima Island Lodge is surrounded by the flow of the mighty Zambezi river and is superb fishing area.

It is at this point where the Zambezi river flows over a basalt shelf known as the Ngambwe rapids, that a series of small islands interlinked with waterways, channels and lagoons has been formed.

Sakazima Lodge (fire on water)

built entirely of indigenous materials - the emphasis is on guest comfort and privacy.

Timber walkways link the chalets to the main lodge which comprises

Sakazima is an ideal location for conferences, corporate meetings, team building or that important "bosberaad".

All required facilities are provided for meetings. activities, bar and superb meals.

The lodge can be privately booked for individual groups

Accommodation

The Lodge caters for a maximum of fourteen guests (full board) in seven thatched en-suite double chalets.

Each chalet has a private deck overlooking the channel system.

Campsite
on the river bank is also available for guests with their own camping gear.

At Sakazima you can enjoy excellent angling (Tiger and Bream) as well as challenging fly fishing conditions.
