Family type restaurants

« The In- De- Belly Restaurant. Located on Victoria falls Rest Camp behind Ilala Lodge. It is right alongside the huge swimming pool and serves scrumptious meals throughout the day. You do not need to book and dress is casual - even swimming gear!! Typical items on the menu are full breakfasts, schwarmas, ribs, fish & chips, tasty burgers, piri piri chicken & chips and of course deserts such as fruit salads and ice cream. Fully liscensed and serves beers, wines and spirits. It is run by the White family, and a huge hit with local Vic Falls residents!

Restaurants / Discos

Explorers Pub & Restaurant - has a special brand of atmosphere. Numerous parties going on there, especially straight from the rafting! Meet up with backpacking mates and outdo them with your tales of hairy adventures, while knocking back a few before going on to the nightclub.

Mama Africa --- Similar to above.

Wild Thing - Located in The Kingdom, this nightclub is an all night experience, with eager young things shakin’ it, and forgetting entirely that back home they are quiet, respectable little librarians.

X-plosion - The new nightclub in town, located in the industrial area, has an open-air dance floor, which is a magical experience in the wild African bush.

Local Dishes

Sadza Ne Nyama – The local staple diet of stiff porridge and stewed meat is cheap, filling, and very tasty.

Local Vendors – Try some of the local delicacies such as the dried fish, or dried Mopani worms, or open-flame roasted mealies (corn on the cob).

Must Do's in Victoria Falls beside the obvious activities!

1) Eat Chocolate Marquai desert at Ilala hotel's Palm Restaurant!..... To die for!

2) Watch the Craft Village Traditional Dance Show!...... It is still fantastic!

3) Dinner at The Boma .

4) Visit Gorges Lodge bar...it literally hangs over the edge of the gorge..a totally different perspective of of the river!

5) Tea at Victoria Falls hotel at high noon!....... Cakes and piano music as you look over the gorge!

7) Golf at Elephant Hills.....don't hit a waterbuck or fight a croc for your ball back!

8) Safari Spa: Treat yourself to a range of beauty therapy treatments ranging from manicures to massage at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge’s Safari Spa and Swimming at the Boma ......you don't have to be a resident!
