Setting the Scene at Ngoma Zanga (my drum)

Ngoma Zanga is not your average restaurant - it is different and is a true reflection of great Zambian hospitality.

First of all the decor - unmistakably African and very much Zambian.

From the huge tribal masks to the life size African animal metalworks.
The seating is also different - you can sit on benches or sit on the grass with a cushion for comfort - a coal burner and even blankets for when it gets chilly.

But its the hospitality that gets to you. On arrival and departure you are greeted in traditional Zambian way - we felt like Kings and Queens as the waiters and waitresses knelt before us clapping and smiling.

Find the menu or specials of the day calked up on a huge blackboard.

Browse the curio shop for fine displays of basket work, ceramics, metalwork and colourful cloths.

Drums of various sizes are distributed throughout the restaurant and grounds.

Ngoma Zanga invites you to taste traditional African cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere and be entertained by local dancers and drummers.
