Come and Run in the New Zimbabwe! Things are looking good, everything is now available, the Rand has value here and the race looks set to be great

“Where else in the world do you have elephants at the water points, and game on the race route, and the post-race party on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River?”

The route is fast and relatively flat and is supported by regular water points and cooling down sections

The route crosses over the Vic Falls Bridge, briefly into Zambia offering the social runner some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa.

This is one of the best race routes ever - takes you through the town of Victoria Falls, cross border to Zambia to catch a glimpse of the falls as you cross the bridge and through the natural surroundings just outside town, along the Zambezi River and back into town.

* The full marathon (42.2km) starts 06h30

The race will start between the KINGDOM & VICTORIA FALLS HOTELS, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

The finish of the marathon will be at The Victoria Falls Primary Schools field

Cut off time for the race will be 12h30 noon. All finishers will receive a medal and t-shirt.

The competition is open to persons 21 years and over.

Medals will be awarded to all finishers

Crossing the Bridge

* half marathon (21.1km) starts 07h00
The race will start between the KINGDOM & VICTORIA FALLS HOTELS, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

The finish of the marathon will be at The Victoria Falls Primary Schools field

Cut off time for the race will be 12hr30. All finishers will receive a medal and T-shirt.

The competition is open to persons of 18 years and over. Medals will be awarded to all finishers

Marathon fun run
Fun Run

* 5km Fun Run - starts 07h15

The race will start at the KINGDOM & VICTORIA FALLS HOTEL, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and finish at the school, running through Chinotimba.

The competition is open to persons of 10 years and over. No prizes or medals available

Tog bags will be transported there by 09h00

Tog bag area will be provided, if you plan to use this facility allow ample time - note that the tog bags will be transported to the stadium by 09h00.

No specific age categories or walkers / disabled
Final cut-off after 5hrs.

Baobab Baobab run

* Registration
Registration will either take place through a package, or local entries.

Registration will take place at the KINGDOM HOTEL, Victoria Falls
-Friday, (10h00 - 18h00)
-Saturday, (09h00 - 16h00)

All pre-registered entrants MUST STILL COME TO THE KINGDOM HOTEL, to collect race numbers, sign official entrance form

* NO ENTRIES ALLOWED ON RACE DAY, SUNDAY

IMPORTANT: you MUST BRING your PASSPORT, or ID Document to registration.

Party After Party where the fun starts

For those wishing to join in on the fun at the marathon after party, can do so at the Boat Club in Victoria Falls. Entry fee to be paid at the gate of USD10 per person,

There is a good chance of seeing some game along the route, which will be monitored by National Parks staff member

We have some great Packages on offer at good rates

Now that fuel is freely available, why not drive up and enjoy a few more days at the Falls too? We can offer choices from Bed and Breakfasts to 5 star luxury, and of course the after race cruise and party are not to be missed.

11. Marathon route drive on Saturday

Runners that want to view the route can do so on Saturday. The shuttle service will be operating from the Kingdom Hotel at the cost of USD5 pp. See departure times at the Kingdom Hotel notice board.

12. Sunset cruise & marathon after party
Only for class A entries: For those who have entered on Class A, a sunset cruise is included followed by the Marathon after party. You will be collected from your hotel
