Thorntree Lodge - Livingstone, Zambia
situated on the Zambian bank of the Zambezi River, 15km upstream from The Victoria Falls bordering Mosi-oa-Tunya park
- It boasts a central lounge/dining area with a wooden sundeck overlooking the Zambezi River
- An assortment of pre-dinner snacks are prepared and enjoyed on the deck during the early evening.
- drinks ranging from cordials and soft drinks to local beers and spirits are supplied. Local red and white wines are served with dinner.
The lodge accommodates 18 guests.
All 9 chalets have a veranda with deck chairs and a private view of the Zambezi river. All but 2 have outside showers. One honeymoon chalet has a outside bath metres above the Zambezi.

Facilities¨ Swimming pool with a water-level bar and a covered deck overlooking a perennial waterhole and gazebo.

Minimum Age : 12 years. The lodge does have wild animals roaming around the grounds at various times of the day
The tame elephants are based a few kilometres upstream from Thorntree lodge itself but do occasionally visit with their handlers to make a trunk call.
Common sightings within the Mosi-O-Tunya National Park are white rhino, giraffe, impala, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and a wide variety of birds
