Ideal for the horse riding enthusiast with a beginner’s horse trail included in the daily rate

Wilderness Horse Trails

Accommodation:

Four stilted wooden chalets are built over the Zambezi riverbank.

Each open air chalet has uninterrupted views over the Zambezi River.

Reed blinds close off the chalets to the outside elements.

Private bathrooms are joined to the chalets by way of a wooden walkway.

Accommodation consists of :

• One family two bedroomed chalet which shares a bathroom

• Two large twin bedded chalets each with its own private bathroom facilities
( shower, toilet, basin)

• One private double bedded honeymoon chalet with its own private bathroom
Chundukwa Lodge bedroom facilities ( bath, shower, toilet basin)

Facilities:

* Zambezi River Braai (barbeque) area

* swimming pool overlooking the Zambezi river

* thatched open – air dining and lounge areas overlook the small splash

Activities

Chundukwa offers one in-house activity in the daily rate

• Late afternoon sundowner cruises on its simple riverboat.

• The lodge has over thirty horses and a beginner’s horse trail is one of the activities included in the daily rate. Longer trips can be arranged as an optional extra.

• During Polo Crosse season guests can watch matches or training sessions.

• Guided walks on the Chundukwa property or Chundu Island

• Excellent birding (including the chance to see the African Finfoot)

Other:

Children are welcome at Chundukwa.

Transfers to Livingstone or activities can be arranged at an additional cost whilst at the lodge

The lodge accepts credit card payment (Visa and MasterCard) for extras.

Rates on a B&B basis - 2008

USD 250 | €175 per person per night sharing
Children under 12 pay 50% of adult rate
Includes all meals, local beer, wine and soft drinks and 1 in house activity per day

Return transfers from Livingstone airport is US$20 per person
