The River Club - ZambiaOn the banks of the Zambezi River, 18 kms upstream from Victoria Falls, The River Club’s has a distinct Edwardian flavour, in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds.The Zambezi National Park is located just across the river, and elephants can be seen on the river bank. Camp Description- Main lodge building with it's old style green roof,
houses the dining room, well stocked library and drawing room - Swimming pool overlooking the river Peter Jones is one of the owners of the lodge and lives on the property throughout the year. It was his dream to build a lodge of quality on the Zambezi, a dream that was realized in 1997 The River Club accommodates 20 guests
There are 10 luxury chalets consisting of:8 twin bedded chalets: 2 honeymoon chalets: Chalet details - One room can accommodate wheelchairs and wheelchair ramps are available Weddings and HoneymoonsThere are very few destinations as romantic as The River Club to choose from. Whether you are looking for a religious ceremony or a civil one we are able to put together something very easily just for you, be it on the main lawn over looking the river or on the white sands of the island in front of the lodge. There is a running trail within the camp AmenitiesThe main building also has an interesting library For bird lovers there are nature trails around the lodge, boat cruises, island walks and daily vists to the Victoria Falls. The River Club does offer game drives into the nearby Mosi Oa Tunya Game Park where there is an abundance of game but sadly no big cats. There is a good chance of spotting white rhino on these trips. Other game that can be seen are: elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeast and impala. Tiger fishing is an unforgettable challenge for keen fishermen, particularly during the warmer months. There are various varieties of Bream that are also a good catch. For the more sporting, try catching them on fly!
