Okavango Delta Facts

Chiefs Island where your activities take place offers one the of largest populations of African wildlife in the Delta area

Sightings may include lion , leopard , elephant , buffalo and packs of wild dog running across the plains of the Delta

The concession is also home to hippo , crocodiles , plains zebra and a variety of buck, including the red lechwe

Gunn's Camp is accessed by a light aircraft (generally a Cessna 206) from Maun, the flight is approximately 20 minutes over the south-western Delta. It is also possible to fly from other areas of Botswana

Accommodation
at Gunn's camp has 2 levels- A and B

Level A
* 7 x luxury meru - style tents with en suite bathrooms

* A thatched elevated honeymoon chalet, set under leafy palms and African Ebony, affording panoramic views of the Okavango Delta from a private balcony

All tents have lighting provided by generated electricity.

Towels and a laundry service are included in your stay

Level B (Semetsi Camp)
« 8 X Permanently erected meru tents on raised wooden decks all with sunset views and overlooking the Okavango

« Shared bathroom facilities with hot / cold showers and flush toilets

« The lack of vehicles and electricity adds to it's atmosphere of real African safari bush life

• Video batteries can be recharged, an adaptor is provided at the camp

The Okavango Delta has a myriad channels and lagoons to explore, a delight for avid photographers and wildlife enthusiasts to view the abundance of game and birdlife in the area

There is a strict luggage restriction on the flight, 10kg plus hand luggage, in soft manageable bags. (back packs, rucksacks, duffle bags are highly recommended, please do not bring samsonite suitcases)
. Excess luggage can be stored in Gunn's camp, Maun office whilst you are in the delta
