Chitabe is particularly famous for the enormous herds of Buffalo and for sightings of the endangered African painted or wild dog Chitabe (pronounced Chitaabee) is located in a 28000 hectare photographic reserve alongside the Moremi Game Reserve. The Chitabe area has a superb variety of habitats, and includes open seasonally flooded plains, wooded islands and lagoons. Chitabe has the classic Okavango scenery and is without a doubt the "Soul of the Okavango Delta" Accommodation
Each tented room has en-suite facilities with flush toilets and both outdoor and indoor showers. Hot showers are guaranteed anytime of day or night Facilities

About 160 wild dogs in ten to twelve packs inhabit this region Game viewing is good, and includes Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Reedbuck, Giraffe, Impala, Zebra, Buffalo, Hippo, Red Lechwe, Sitatunga and Sable- Roan. Night drives can be very rewarding, giving opportunities to view animals such as Pangolin, Civet Cat, Genet Cat, Porcupine, Serval, Caracal, and Aardwolf.
