Bazaruto is the largest island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, some 600 km north of Maputo (capital of Mozambique).

The archipelago is rightly called the Pearl of the Indican Ocean with impressive coral reefs, rich varieties of tropical fish, clean water and excellent conditions for all kinds of fishing and water based activities.

Bazaruto Island Lodge

An exclusive hotel on the largest island of the Archipelago.

Accommodation is in A-shaped bungalows with thatch roofs.

The bungalows are set in tropical gardens with views of the beach.

Rooms have en suite bathroom and tastefully decorated in island style.

Dine of fresh seafood such as crab, calamari or crayfish or take sundowners on a dhow.

Scuba diving, big game fishing, snorkelling are just some of the many activities available.

Benguerra Lodge

Unspoilt, undeveloped and an unpopulated piece of island paradise Bengueera is the 2nd largest island in the Bazaruot archipelago.

The Lodge offers a range of accommodation: cabanas, casitas and villa.

Cabanas are built right on the edge of the beac with queen sized beds, large bathroom with bath and shower, private deck with jacuzzi/plunge pool.

Casitas are spacious with queen size bed and lounge area.

A private deck has plunge pool.

Stay in the Villa with its luxury furnishings and 2 doublebedrooms.

En suite bathrooms have copper baths. Your own private chef is on hand and there is also a private deck and swimming pool.

Just a few steps from the sands of Flamingo Beach, Marlin offers luxury beach suites.

An open plan bathroom has his/hers vanity basins as well as indoor and outdoor showers.

A private lounge as well as private verandah and deck chairs complete the picture.

In the Executive suites the 4 poster bed is King size with a separate vanity area.

Relax on the private verandah with deck chairs or hammock.

Adding to that special something is your own private path to the beach.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is made up of four main islands, Bazaruto, Benguerra, Santa Isobel and Santa Carolina

These Indian Ocean islands are inhabited,with small villages scattered between coconut palm and cashew nut trees

The islands are a place to relax, escape, fish, dive & explore

Activities include water skiing, basic windsurfers, kayaks and hobie-cats for sailing

The snorkelling and diving are outstanding, as the coral reefs surrounding the islands teem with marine life

lodges have dive centres, with qualified dive instructors and scuba equipment

Novices may take a short ‘ course’ and dive with an instructor

Resorts have motor boats and larger sailboats for trips to explore the Pansy Island nearby, seek out deserted coves, or go on more distant expeditions to dive or try big game fishing

Experienced divers can take advanced courses, venture deeper and dive at night
