The area is renowned for its large numbers of Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Crocodile, and Eland that
concentrate along the river when the inland waterhole's dry up - in the winter months.

Leopard and Lion are in abundance but are not seen as regularly as the other game

The focal point at Chikwenya is the magical Zambezi River, its backwaters, and the surrounding flood plains and forests

Accommodation

8 x private accommodation lodges, each with private bathroom and dressing room

All rooms have both air conditioning and overhead fans

Exclusively decorated, each room has been built on a teak platform with a private deck

Each room has an outdoor shower "under the stars" as well as an indoor colonial bath

For the honeymooner - the Honeymoon Suite with its own spa bath.

There is also a Presidential Suite with private swimming pool, dining and bar area

Standard room: US$375 per person per night sharing

Includes: accommodation - all meals - teas/coffee - filtered water and all activities

Activities include: fishing (inclusive of boat hire with driver/guide, all fuel/oil, fishing equipment and tackle) - game drives and game cruises

Excludes: all drinks (except for filtered water) - 2% Government tourism levy

National Park Entrance Fee:
US$20 per person - valid for a 7 day period
Fishing Fees : US$ 5 per person per day
River Usage Fees: US$ 5 per boat per day E&OE
