Nzou is a complex of lodges on the shores of lake kariba offering self catering accommodation at Charara, 27 kms from Kariba in Zimbabwe

11 self-catering lodges for hire at Nzou complex in Charara, which are serviced by cook/houseman.

Therefore all the members of your family or a group of people can have a lovely and carefree holiday on the shoreline of Lake kariba.

Situated in the National Park, there are abundant elephants, hippos, impalas, zebras, etc as well as very varied bird life.

· You can self-drive to Charara or you can hire our Africa Unique bus to take you safely there with a qualified driver/guide.

· All you need basically is your food and drinks and we will tell you well in advance before your departure about other detailed requirements.

· Your own boat can be moored at different harbours depending on where you stay or on your choice.

· 3 x 3 bedroomed lodges with pool

· 1 x 4 bedroom lodge with jacuzzi

· 1 x 4-bedroom lodge with pool

· 1 x 4 bedroomed lodge without pool

· 5 x 3 bedroomed lodges without private pool

· Communal swimming pool and garden

Lodges information:-

All Nzou Lodges have 3 bedrooms except 3 as indicated above, so they sleep 6.

However, in most - but not all - lodges 8 guests are allowed if at least two are under 10 years of age.

Directions to Nzou complex

On Makuti / Kariba Road at 51 km peg, take the Charara dirt road. Follow signs for Nzou Lodges entrance (7 kms )

Clients are asked to bring personal toiletries including toilet paper, kitchen cleaning materials as well as cleaning materials for personal laundry and mosquito repellent (beds have mossie nets).

Rates for Nzou Lodge

Self-catered: R160 per person per night.

a cook will be on hand to assist in the kitchen.

Member’s of the crew’s families will be willing to do your laundry for a small fee

(US$100 - US$160 per lodge per night - depending on the size and facilities)
