Bordering the world famous Hwange National Park, Sable Valley Lodge

Where in the world can you sit, enjoy and photograph a pride of 12
lions without being squeezed out by other vehicles.
You can in Hwange National Park where wildife is prolific.
As well as lion, expect to see elephant, leopard, wild dog, buffalo,
giraffe, zebra, sable antelope, greater kudu as well as a host of other
species.
This small lodge is set within 140 sq. kms of private wildlife reserve
adjoining Hwange and offers true Zimbabwean hospitality with personalied
service.
A soaring roof thatched in traditional Matabele style encloses a lounge/bar/dining
room.
A central spiral staircase leads to an overhead viewing platform providing
fantastic views across the open vlei and down to the water hole.
A discreet perimeter fence protects the lodge from wild animals.
Accommodation:
Majestic teak and wild mahogany trees shelter the hand ochred spacious
thatched guest cottages, tastefully decorated in African fabrics in
hues of rust, black and cream.

Activities
- A full range of game drives are available all conducted in open
safari vehicles (max. 7 persons) under the care of licensed rangers.
- These drives take place both within the private wildlife reserve
and into the adjacent Hwange National Park and are conducted throughout
the day.
- Night drives on the private estate are also available.
- Walking safaris are obtainable on request.
- In addition to the prolific wildlilfe, the Hwange area is home to
more than 300 species of birds
- Visits to traditional villages in the nearly tribal area can also
be arranged
Times of safari activities vary seasonally but guests are advised each
day of the options available and the times of departure
Meals
Meal Times are at the usually accepted times but are contingent on game
drives and will vary seasonally
All meals are Table d'hôte with wide selection of dishes. Meals
are taken either in the thatched dining room or open-air “boma”
depending on the weather at night. A crackling open fire under a canopy
of stars and the night sounds of the African bush calling from the darkness
beyond casts it’s spelI over dinner and late night drinks
