Facilities
The feature swimming pool is secluded allowing for even moonlight
swims during your tropical safari vacation
The bar is upstairs and overlooks the Chobe River. Informally
known as the Map Room due to the large number of maps hung on the walls
Choose either a continental or English breakfast.
Lunches are a buffet with a choice of hot dishes, salads,
cold
meat, and cheeses.
Dinner is a set menu but the kitchen will cater for guests'
individual requirements
Packed meals are available for those who are spending
the day
in Chobe park or on the Chobe river
Small inexpensive African weddings can be held here.
The ceremony takes place on the Chobe river with the animals as a background.

Activities
Game viewing and Boat cruises into Chobe national park
Traditionally early morning game drives in open safari vehicles and
late afternoon boat cruises from the lodge are safari
routine.
Elephants are seen in the hundreds and buffalo in the thousands in Chobe
National Park. Lions are seen almost daily as are impala, sable antelope,
giraffe, warthog and numerous other species.
From experience Garden Lodge have witnessed a herd of bull elephants
drink in the middle of the day before swimming across the Chobe river
to feed in Namibia.
For guests wanting to see swimming elephants Garden Lodge are very flexible
and will change the routine by taking the boat in the middle of the
day and a game drive in the late evening.
Birding: Bird enthusiasts have over 500 species to
look for in this area.
Village tour and Mekoro canoe combination: experience
an insight into tribal life with a visit to a village in Namibia.
Your guide will take you from Botswana to Namibia by Mekoro and on foot
through the villages.
He lives in these villages and will enjoy the opportunity to explain
the traditional beliefs and customs of village life
Tiger Fishing
The Chobe River is a tributary of the mighty Zambezi River, home to
the famed tiger fish.
The Garden Lodge supplies all the tackle needed to catch these fighters
but respectfully request guests to practice catch and release policy
