Normal cruise day

The time spent onboard during the day is really a 'relaxing interval' between the morning and afternoon off ship activities!

A normal cruise day starts at 0530/0600hrs with tea and coffee being served prior to guests departing the ship for a game walk or a game drive with Jesse Bush Safaris, or fishing or game viewing cruise from our fleet of tender boats.

They return from these activities at approx. 09.00hrs and then have breakfast while we set sail for our next destination.

After breakfast guests attend the conference or relax and sunbathe by the pool, play deck games (shuffleboard or deck croquet) on the promenade deck, play indoor table games (chess, scrabble, monopoly etc) watch videos in the conference room, read a book,or interact generally and socialize with other guests.

Mid-morning tea is served in the main saloon while our resident band plays gentle background music.

Lunch is served from 1300hrs to 1430hrs and guests then generally have a siesta (as they will have been awake from very early in the morning) until 1600hrs when afternoon tea is served, after which they then go out on 'off ship' activities again until 1830/1900hrs.

On corporate or conference cruises the mid morning and mid afternoon times are normally reserved for the meetings and discussions.

In the evening sundowners and snacks are served on either the Promenade deck, Pool deck or in the cocktail bar and dinner is normally served from 2000hrs. On the first cruise evening, in this period between returning from 'off ship activities' and dinner, guests are entertained with a talk about the history of, and interesting facts about Kariba. On some conference/business cruises special presentations or sessions are held during this time. The last evening of a normal cruise is the 'gala night' with a dinner dance held in our main saloon.
