The animals gather in this area in increasing numbers towards the end of the dry season (May to September) drawn by the need of the lush, viable vegetation available and the water of the mighty Zambezi

There exists a particularly high density of mammals, including elephant, lion, buffalo, painted wild dog and leopard to name a few, ensuring the guests superb and plentiful sightings of game.

Zambezi river is home to a large variety of angling fish, the most renowned being the fiercesome Tiger Fish.

There is a kaleidoscopic variety of birdlife (approx 450 species)
