· In insect proof walk-in cottage style tents that are 3m x 3m with gauze-covered windows · The tents are furnished with single beds, foam mattresses, duvets, sheets, blankets and pillows · Lighting is provided by gas lamps, which provide enough light to read by
· The ablutions are en-suite, consisting of a long drop toilet and hot water bucket shower.
· The bucket shower water temperature is regulated by the amount of hot or cold water mixed in the bucket. Guests can have it as hot or cold as they like it · Canvas hand basins with mirrors attached are placed in front of each tent and are filled with hot water after every meal and activity. Soap, hand and bath towels are provided Staff· In addition to a professional Botswana registered safari guide who has had first aid training, we will have a full complement of staff to perform all chores.· Generally excluding the guide they are made up of a driver, cook, waiter, and bedroom hand and scullery helper. The exact number of assistants will depend on the number of guests. · The camp assistants perform all camp chores such as setting up camp and the preparation of meals Laundry· Weather permitting laundry is done daily with the exception of the days the camp moves to its next location Meals and Drinks
· Three substantial meals per day are served, between planned safari activities · Breakfast may be a full English breakfast or a quick cereal and coffee breakfast to fit in with game drives and early departures · Brunch or lunch will consist of a main course, two salads and fresh fruit. · Scones, cake or biscuits are served at tea · Dinners consists of three courses served with house wine · Menus change daily and fresh produce is used · Vegetarian or special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement · Beverages are included in the safari fare and include o Alcoholic beverages, which include red wine, white wine, vodka, gin, brandy, sherry, whisky and beer o Soft drinks, which include coke, tonic, bitter lemon, coke lite, Schweppes lemon, soda water and bottled water It is good idea to give us a list of your preferences so we can make sure we have plenty of these items! · The safari vehicle used is a custom fitted 4 x 4 vehicle that seats 8 guests in individual seats. Activities· A typical safari day usually consists of an early morning wake up call followed by a light breakfast before departing on a morning game drive that lasts until brunch/lunch time. The early afternoon is spent relaxing until tea time when it is time to depart on an afternoon game drive. At sundown return to camp for dinner under the stars In the Chobe National Park and the Xakanaxa area of the Moremi Reserve, a boat trip is not included in the price of the safari. Insurance * In the event of a medical emergency, guests are covered by medical
air rescue BUT It is imperative that guests take out their own fully
comprehensive medical insurance to cover any hospitalization or further
treatment.

Type of activities that are offeredGame drives are conducted in 4x4 vehicles, which are custom made for game viewing. The walks are conducted by a Professional guide, which gives you the opportunity to look at the smaller aspects of Africa as well as the chance of tracking and approaching the elusive Black Rhino and other large game on foot. Take the opportunity of a life time, the fate of the Black Rhino still hangs in the balance and it may not be possible in the future to see this magnificent animal outside a zoo. Wild Horizons offers a well organised, expertly guided safari for those who wish to seize the moment and dare the adventure. The daily activities usually follow along these lines... Early start with a light breakfast i.e.: Tea, coffee, cereal and toast. Then either takes a walk from camp, go on a game drive or a combination of the two. We are usually back in camp by mid-day for a large brunch - then a siesta through the heat of the day. After tea, an afternoon activity which usually finishes up at a water-hole with sun-downers. Dinner by lantern light is a three course affair served under the African sky. Plans for the next day activities are then discussed with your guide, around the camp fire. Type of Medical Cover offeredIn the event of a medical emergency, all clients of that are engaged on a mobile safari are covered by medical air rescue. Clients should however ensure that that are properly insured for any eventuality prior to departure from their respective country of residence.
