Hwange - camping safarisTypically 2 to 3 nights are the most popular, with longer tours for specialist groupsThree types of mobile camping safaris are on offer for small groupsMobile safari group size - MINIMUM 4 people per tour – max 6 people per vehicle ZIMBABWE –Day 1 –3 Hwange National Park – mobile tented safaris Clients will be picked up at 10h00 and taken to the Sinamatella area of Hwange National Park. Guests will be transferred in a 4x4 game-viewing vehicle. You will be taken to your tented camp in the wilderness. Each tent is equipped with en-suite facilities (if on a luxury safari or the toilets and showers will be shared). There are proper beds (if on luxury, stretcher beds on semi participation and mattresses on the floor if on participation) and good lighting in the tents. Usually you start off early either by vehicle or on foot thus depending on what has been heard during the night. The walks are especially adventurous and you will always remember how exciting it is to be amongst the elephant on foot!
This area is also on of the last strong holds for the endangered Black Rhino. For those of you who are up to it, a morning of tracking the Rhino on foot is a must! The area is home to lion, elephants, Rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, waterbuck, giraffe, kudu, sable, warthog just to mention a few… There have been 400 species of birds recorded in the park as a whole. Hwange National ParkDue to the vast size of the park the landscape varies from deep Kalahari sands in the south to rocky hilly country in the north. The park is divided into 3 different areas, namely Main Camp, Robins Camp and Sinamatella Camp. The park is renowned for it's large variety of fauna and flora. There are vast numbers of elephants, as well as giraffe, buffalo, rhino, wildebeest, warthog, impala, zebra, sable, lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah and cape hunting dogs. Three substantial meals per day are served, between planned safari activities. Breakfast consists of cereals, toast, tea and coffee to accommodate game drives and early departures from camp. Brunch or lunch consists of a main meal, two salads and fruit. At tea time we offer biscuits with tea and coffee. Whilst dinners consists of two course meal. Menus of fresh produce change every day and vegetarian or special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement. * Drinks on offer are local beers, local cordials and local wine with dinner. If clients wish to place an order for extra drinks, no problem they can send the order through and this will be charged in USD.
