Jacana 1 - Houseboat Kariba
Jacana 1 is a spacious pontoon type boat house that has 5 cabins and
is berthed at Kariba Town

Accommodation
5 Cabins, four of which have open up sides
- Cabin 1- front port side there is a spacious cabin with 2 single
beds
- Cabins 2, 3, 4 & 5 are all double cabins with two bunk beds
in each, plus built in cupboards
- The sides of these open up to allow Clients a view of the Lake
and plenty of fresh air
- wheelhouse can also convert into sleeping area for 2 passengers
- two tent type cabins that can be erected on the top deck

Boom lights have been installed to attract bugs &
insects away from the main vessel.
Cold Storage: There is a deep freeze in the galley,
one deep freeze behind the galley, one large icebox on top deck with
two smaller cold boxes

Top deck
is very spacious and is 70% covered to shade you from the midday sun.
Around this roofed area there are drop-down, shade cloth blinds. The
top deck is tastefully furnished with Cane furniture.
An enclosed wheel-house cum lounge area and bar to the front of the
boat – this can also convert into sleeping area for 2 passengers.
There are two tent type cabins that can be erected on the top deck
to provide extra sleeping accommodation
At the rear of the bottom deck there is the galley area adjacent to
the dining / breakfast / bar area, which also opens up on the one side.
