Induna- House Boating Binga
The Induna is an affordable houseboat built on two pontoons berthed
at Chilila harbour (close to Binga) on Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe - sleeps 12

Boat Specifications
Crew: Captain, Cook, Deck-hand Crews quarters with own
bathroom and storeroom are at the stern
Engines: 2 x 75 hp oil injected Mariner outboard motors
Power: 12/220V 2 diesel generators supply 220v
to all refrigeration equipment and plug outlets.
These generators charge up a 12v battery system which operates all lights
and ceiling fans
Access is from Bulawayo[415kms] or Victoria Falls [320 kms] on a tarred
road
Length - 15 m long
Passengers:
sleeping up to 12 passengers.
1200l petrol tank and a sewage holdover tank under the boat between
the pontoons

Fishing licence fees:
US$ 2 per person per day per person per week
Lake Usage Fee:
US$ 10 / ZAR 100 per person (valid for 7 days)
These rates do change from time to time and the receipt must be kept
with clients at all times as National Parks do spot checks on the
lake

2010 Rates
US$ 540 per night for up
to 8 passengers
US$ 20 over 8 passengers up to a maximum of 12
(Rand rate on request)
Included:
15% Sales Tax, 2% Tourism Levy, the service of a Captain, Cook
and a Deckhand, cutlery, crockery and linen. The use of the tender boats
but not the fuel
Excluded:
* Fuel: clients can bring their own fuel or prepay for fuel before arrival.
* Drinks : clients to bring their own or buy in Chilila.
* Fishing Equipment (please bring your own or arrange to hire )
* The National Parks Board has a Lake Usage and Fishing Levy fee . These fees are to be paid by you to the Parks Officer at the harbour where the boat is moored before boarding the boat
* The cost of the fuel is to the clients account for the duration of the charter.
* Parking Fees per vehicle - R20 per day
* Launch Fees - R150
Average fuel consumption for a 3 night charter would be
roughly 300L petrol

General
To get to Senkwa takes 5 hrs where there are lots of elephant, buffalo,
plains game , hippo and crocs to see, as well as good tiger and bream
fishing
Water: Operated by a 12v selfpriming pressure pumps
All kitchen utensils, bowls,crockery, glasses etc are on board. All
bed linen, mosquito nets and towels are supplied

Trips from Chillila to Senkwe - 3 days min plus 2 days traveling
