Zambezi Paddle Steamer is a premier conference venue of professional standard combining a sophisticated conference facility aboard a lake cruise on Lake Kariba

Southern Africa's most unique tourism product operating on Lake Kariba in Northern Zimbabwe. At 180 feet long (54 meters), with 5 decks and able to accommodate up to 44 passengers in a variety of spacious air-conditioned cabins, she is the largest vessel on the lake.

The modern and fully equipped conference room coupled to a unique atmosphere of old world charm, elegance and luxurious settings makes it one of the best ways of mixing business with pleasure in Africa

The Conference room/TV lounge is situated on the top Deck with its own verandah where conference facilities for up to 20 participants in 'U' shape formation with overhead projector, screen, VTR, flip charts, etc.

This lounge can also be used as a quiet area for just relaxing with a view of the lake through the full length glass doors and windows.

Zambezi Paddle Steamer can accommodate 44 delegates sharing or 22 singles

In between the think tanks and planning meetings, there is time to fish, game view, swim, play a game of darts, or just relax

Things to do on ship

The time spent on board during the day is really a 'relaxing interval' between the morning and afternoon off ship activities, while the evenings are an opportunity to sample good food, fine wine and enjoy good company, while recalling the days adventures.

On corporate or conference cruises the mid morning and mid afternoon times are normally reserved for the meetings and discussions.

Dance the night away in the main saloon and then go out on the deck and see the clear and brilliant Kariba night sky with it's unpolluted air and its incredible southern hemisphere stars.

Things to do off ship

A game viewing cruise, walk or drive will bring you 'up, close and personal' with a wide variety of animals, reptiles and birds.

A fishing expedition with our experienced and licensed coxswains can be the thrill of a lifetime!

The Ship and Its Facilities..

The main saloon with resident 3 piece band and dance floor where you can relax in air-conditioned comfort and where morning and afternoon tea/coffee is served. Many on board activities, functions and celebrations are held in this main saloon.

The Paddle Water Garden Feature
A decor feature in the main saloon adjoining the elegant stairway to the upper decks.

The Reception Area
Arriving guests are greeted with a cool refreshing drink and a warm welcome.

The Schooner Bar
Fully stocked cocktail bar where you will be served your favorite drink by experienced and friendly barmen.

Dining Saloon where a selection of fine cuisine including Halaal, vegetarian and other special food requirements are served, all prepared by a team of Chefs. A fine selection of both local and imported wines are also available.

Pool Deck
Relax on the pool deck on a sun lounger with a refreshing drink as you cruise across the lake or cool off with a dip in the plunge pool.

Promenade Deck
The upstairs Promenade Deck with its own service bar where you can play deck games or enjoy a quiet moment at sundown with a long cool drink as the Kariba sky displays its many colours

Cabins

Deluxe cabin on the top deck with its own balcony, mini bar and en suite bathroom with bath and shower.

4 Executive cabins with wrap around windows that allow panoramic views. Each cabin has en suite bathroom with shower and has its own mini bar.

Tariffs INCLUDE:
- Full board, including all meals, teas, etc.
- Game viewing and fishing from the fleet of tender boats (with boat drivers, fuel, bait and limited fishing tackle provided)
- Use of the conference room and facilities that includes tables, chairs, overhead projector and screen, TV and video, flip chart board with sheets. - Live music from 3 piece resident band.

Tariff EXCLUDES the following;
- 15% VAT (on Z$ payments only)
- Drinks, which can be purchased from the fully stocked cocktail bar at normal bar prices.
- Purchases from the Ship's Boutique
- National Parks Lake Entry Fee
- US$ 7 per passenger for SADCC residents
- US$10 per passenger for all other nationalities
