The Falls Convention Centre
The conference centre can be subdivided into separate areas depending
on your requirements, offering conference facilities for up to 450 delegates,
whose accommodation needs can be served by the three-star, 212-room
Zambezi Sun and 173-room five-star Royal Livingstone Hotel.
The Falls Convention Centre, linked to the lobby of the
three-star Zambezi
Sun, is a highly sophisticated and flexible venue able to
cater for a wide variety of international functions and private themed
dinners or banquets.
The formal Convention Centre, richly decorated in
an African theme, is complemented by an authentic African boma, designed
for outdoor conferences and functions.

The Main Ballroom seats 450 delegates theatre style
and 340 in the schoolroom configuration. It seats 360 for a banquet,
which can be catered from the fully equipped kitchen at the centre. |

Royal Livingstone Boardroom
The magnificent colonial style boardroom situated in the lobby of the
Royal Livingstone Hotel offers a small personal boardroom for up to
12 people. The large mahogany style table with leather backed chairs
and wooden paneling offers guests the ideal venue to discuss business.
There are all the modern conveniences including Audio visual equipment. |
Ballroom
The Ballroom consists of four conference rooms that can be used as
one entity or subdivided into different size rooms.
Whether for 60 delegates
or 450 delegates, The Falls Conference centre will provide the perfect
setting for your conference/function.
The total area is 594sq m and if the function demands it an intimate
area of 86sqm can be arranged to accommodate a minimum of 40 delegates
in banquet style seating. |

Mukuni Boma
An authentic Boma, crafted in the traditional Zambian manner, accommodates
up to 350 guests for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
The Boma can be booked for private functions by groups or conference
conveners. Barbecues are on offer along with other imaginative menus.
There is a central log fire and although the venue is rustic, the equipment,
services and quality of food is outstanding.
The food is themed according and forms an integral part of the evening's
experience. A unique journey through the menu is supplemented with dancers
involving the local villagers, their arts and crafts and the resident
Nganga (witch doctor).
In addition to the vast Boma, a more intimate boma at the same location
is available for smaller groups of 30 people. Guests still get to experience
the drama of an African Boma without feeling conspicuous in the immense
350-seater boma.
Catering
Banquets and special meals can be served in a number of superb settings
including the fabulous Conference Centre or the Mukuni Boma, or the
wooden deck at the Royal Livingstone Hotel, where VIP guests can enjoy
cocktails and canapés while suspended above the waters of the
Zambezi River.
Set menus are a symphony of dishes - each complementing the last. The
Touch of Class offers an antipasta plate of smoked Zambezi bream, prawns
peri peri, smoked venison terrine, and shaved biltong with a light sweet
pepper sauce.
Main courses to choose from include tournedos of grilled salmon, finished
with mussels and mushrooms in a light butter sauce, or medallions of
beef topped with a sautéed lobster tail finished with a whisky
and cream sauce. Dessert is a chocolate mousse with a vanilla and coffee
sauce.
Vending machines are conveniently positioned near the rooms and supply
cold drinks and snacks.

At the heart of the Resort is the Falls Entertainment Centre, It is
here that one can sense adventure, where explorations are discussed
and planned. All tours begin and end at this thrilling hub of entertainment
and recreational pleasure.

The conference and banquet department is on hand to assist and coordinate
your conference.

THEMES
A range of themes are available with corresponding menus. Décor
and props will set the scene for a festive fantasy also include a shebeen
scene and a depiction of Livingstone's journeys in Africa. The banqueting
manager and coordinators can assist with any special requests in this
regard.
Check-in Procedure
Our guest check-in time is at 14h00. If rooms are requested prior to
check-in time, early arrivals will be accommodated as soon as rooms
become available.
Check-out Procedure
The check-out time is at 11h00. Luggage can be stored for guests who
have checked-out, but wish to stay at the resort until later.

The Boma (which is constructed in an authentic African manner) is simple,
rustic and genuine and has been designed to provide guests with a unique
African dining experience. The food served will be themed and form an
integral part of the whole dining and evening experience. A unique journey
through the menu will be supplemented with dancers involving the local
villagers, their arts and crafts, music and the resident sangoma (witch
doctor) will be an event to remember.
Hunters Night
Venue : LUMPASA (THE LIONS DEN BOMA)
Menu : On Application

On arrival, guests will see the "hunting lodge" set complete
with deer heads, shotguns and waiters dressed in khaki shorts and boots,
ready to protect them from any stray animals which may come their way.
The guests are invited to have a glass of wine and warm their hands
in front of the huge campfire while the impala and wild boar aromatically
finishing roasting on the open charcoal spits. After finding a seat
at the long wooden tables lit with paraffin lamps, the guests can wander
over to the buffet.
Formal Gala Dinner

Black formal back-drop with silver garlands for formal prize-giving
/ awards dinners. This comes with alternating black and white linen

Poolside Braai Evening

The Zambezi Sun Pool Bar will be the centre of attraction and makes
a significant statement. Although only 60 covers are under-cover, there
is abundant casual seating scattered around the bar ins the gardens
where there are 10 simple thatched gazebos. There is also extra space
in the garden for banqueting to bring extra chairs and tables for a
350 seated out-side function. Guest can enjoy sundowner drinks and pool
side braai.
Stars And Planets Evening

A telescope is available for guests to view the night sky, and the Astronomical
Society of Zambia will astral guide guests through the various planets
and formations. his is an intriguing evening guaranteed to put stars

New Orleans Fish Market
Venue : Water front venue - not at the resort but at another scenic
destination
The Waterfront launch area will be transformed into a New Orleans Fish
Market catering for banquets and incentive groups.
Activities
Cycling
To allow guests to explore the surrounding area, there are mountain
bikes for hire at The Falls Activity Centre.
Swimming
The poolside beckons and the service is superior. There are a variety
of poolside activities at the Zambezi Sun that encourage guests to venture
towards its azure blue depths. The huge free-form pool meanders round
a pavilion restaurant and an outdoor bandstand and dance floor. An established
group entertain guests with soft jazz, blues and impromptu pop music.
The pool deck is also the scene of more formal occasions such as cocktail
receptions and alfresco dining.
Happy Hippo Club
Situated at the Zambezi Sun and available to children from both hotels.
The Happy Hippo Club is open to children from 2 - 12 years of age and
is a children's activity centre.
