Itinerary

Days 1 & 2
Accommodation at Puku Ridge Tented Camp

Arriving at Mfuwe International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to Puku Ridge.

Puku Ridge is a luxury tented camp overlooking a sweeping expanse of the fertile Kakumbi dambo.

Choose between either a game drive in an open safari vehicle or to walk under the guidance of your professional guide.

South Luangwa national park offers excellent sightings of elephants, lion, leopard, wild dog, buffalo and giraffe.

Days 3 - 4
Overnight accommodation at Mbula

Continental breakfast then depart with your professional guide and a National Parks Scout on the 95km road transfer to the Chibembe Hub walking concession.

This transfer takes you on a game drive through the park and will take approximately four and a half hours.
Luangwa Game Drive
On arrival at the Luangwa River at midday, a picnic lunch is waiting for you.

After lunch we cross the Luangwa River by banana boat and commence the 2 to 3 hour walk to Mbulu.

The Mbulu site is on the banks of the Kasansanya (flowing water) River which is a tributary of the Luangwa River.

This is an excellent area for leopards and the site overlooks a colony of Carmine bee-eaters.

Walks from the camp include a walk to the Luangwa Waffa (an inland lagoon, teeming with bird and wildlife). Good sightings of Eland in this area. Two nights will be spent exploring this area from your mobile tented camp in the well shaded Ebony grove

Day 4: Another day spent walking and exploring in the Mbulu area.

Day 5
Overnight accommodation at Kasansanya

After breakfast we depart for Kasansanya where you will spend the last night.

Also situated on the banks of the Kasansanya River - this area has interesting woodland birds and large herds of Buffalo and Lion. Interesting walks in this area include walks to the Baobab trees and Hippo Bend, which is a lagoon filled with hundreds and hundreds of Hippo.

Day 6
Overnight accommodation at Chichele Presidential Lodge

After breakfast we depart on the 5 hour game drive back to Chichele Presidential Lodge.

A picnic brunch is provided en route.

Chichele is located on a magnificent hilltop site.

Luxurious airconditioned accommodation is combined with a hunting lodge atmosphere.

Day 7
An early morning game drive and breakfast, then transfer back to Mfuwe Airport for your flight to Lusaka International Airport and onward connections.

EXCLUSIONS:
• Any visa fees that might be applicable on arrival into Zambia
• Spirits and imported wines
• Any items purchased from our shops
• International and Domestic Airport Departure Taxes

CONDITIONS:
• A minimum of 2 clients and a maximum of 8 clients can be accommodated
on this trip
• No children under 12 years of age can be accepted
• A limit of 12kg ‘soft-sided’ baggage on all internal flights
