Elephant back Safaris in Victoria Falls enable you to ride on a African elephant through the bush amongst the wild animals high above the ground.

Being up close to an elephant in the bush is a moving experience but being on top of one is an ideal way to be a part of the wild, and see it from best advantage.

· Upon arrival, tea, coffee and cordial is served, after which, the guide will give a short introductory talk, which includes safety. The guests will then be introduced to the elephants and their “Induna’s”. On mounting the elephants, the safari begins. On completing the ride, guests will dismount and interact with the elephants on the ground

· Refreshments and a Full English breakfast are provided.

· Guests are returned to Victoria Falls town between 11.30am - 12.00pm

Please note that the Jumbo Junction does not include a ride on the elephants, merely the chance for you to interact with the elephants.

Upon arrival, guest will be offered refreshments and will then be given an informative talk on the African Elephant and its relationship with man.

An elephant presentation will be given, detailing their lifestyles and history and then guests can enjoy the opportunity to interact with these gentle giants on a very personal level

Snacks and refreshments will be provided after the interaction with the elephants.

Upon arrival, your guide will give a quick introductory talk and safety briefing. You will then be introduced to your induna (elephant carer) and the elephants themselves.

On mounting the elephants, the safari begins

– view game whilst riding game, savouring the experience of crashing through the African bush atop a gigantic pachyderm.

Your safari ends with a short interaction with the elephants after which snacks, soft drinks and Beers are served

As elephant rides are included in most package offers, it makes sense to consider booking one of Ticket to Safari Packages (TSP).

AGE RESTRICTIONS
There is no upper age limit. Children below the age of 5 years will only be taken by special request. Guardians of Minors (under 15) will be required to sign the indemnity form on behalf of the minors. A Guardian must accompany children under the age of 15 throughout the trip.

WHAT TO BRING / WEAR
Please bear in mind that guests will be responsible for carrying their personal effects while on the walk. It is therefore advisable that belongings are kept to a reasonable limit.

Bottled water and other refreshments will be available, so it is not necessary for guests to bring their own.

We recommend that guests bring the following:

¨ Glasses or Sunglasses
¨ Insect Repellent
¨ Comfortable walking/Hiking shoes

Guests should wear neutral coloured clothes. Wildlife may be encountered and therefore whites and bright colours should be avoided.

Recommended clothing as follows:
¨ Long trousers with closed, comfortable shoes.
¨ Long-sleeved shirts, especially in the summer months.
¨ A wide brimmed hat.
¨ A sweater is recommended for the months of May to August.
