You will be transferred from your hotel to the Livingstone Airport. Clamber into the front of the cockpit; brace yourself for the almost theatrical performance of “Swinging the prop”. “Switches off, petrol on, throttle closed, suck in, followed by contact”, then with a almighty heave on the prop, the engine of the Tiger Moth begins to shudder and purr, eager to get airborne. Once up and away you will quickly get used to the engine noise that
soon fades to a comforting rumble as you view your approach for the
Magnificent Victoria Falls. Once completed your pilot will proceed towards Long Island where one normally sees elephant and hippo dependant on the time of year. If game is spotted the pilot will try to move closer to view without disturbing the animals. After this exciting experience the pilot maneuvers over the Mosi Oa Tunya game park where there are white rhino, several herds of giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest and from time to time elephant – a true “Out of Africa” experience. It is a lot to see and you see it all From here the pilot returns to the Livingstone Airport for the landing and you will be transferred back to your hotel
