A 2 night, 3 day participatory canoeing safari, passing through the flood plains of the Lower Zambezi, stopping short of Mana Park.

Full Itinerary & Detailed Info	2010 RATES Low Season: USD 250 per person sharing High Season: USD 395 per person (international) USD 318 per person (SADC) Season: Year round. – however, for those chartering in, please discuss this with us prior to your arrival, as some airstrips may be closed due to the rains. A fully qualified river guide accompanies each safari and participation by clients is necessary. A minimum of 2 participants required to run safari. E and O.E

DAY ONE

Meet 10.30 Chirundu or 11:00 Gwabi

Guide briefing followed by light lunch, canoeing orientation

Canoe through to evening camp, effectively a half-day canoeing Canoe approx 14 km to evening camp spot and prepare camp Overnight Kakomalala

DAY TWO

Full day canoeing, approx 25km
Canoeing starts early after morning tea/coffee and biscuits approx 06:00/06:30

Depart Island camp for downstream breakfast stop approx 08:30

Continue though to shaded lunch stop from approx 12:30 – 14:30 out of mid day sun.

Proceed to mainland fly camp for overnight island camp. Overnight Mutondo Island

DAY THREE

Canoeing routine as Day 2 until about 14:30 when we arrive at the take-out point near Kayila

Return transfers: Road to Gwabi 3hrs (included in price of safari)

Optional: Drop off Royal airstrip 30 min road transfer

Optional: Boat transfer to Gwabi 1hr 20min.
